A beautiful winter day in Helsinki, with 14 below outside.
I have the pleasure to meet with Riina Hellström who shares the ideas and values around employee driven organsiations.
Although we met for the first time, I experienced being connected by sharing experiences and mind set.
She confirms the impression of Finlands corporate world is divided in two distinct parts: a small community of start up companies that organise themselves in a modern way with less hierarchy and the the older, large corporation where a lot of their co-workers are resigned or wants to leave.
An abyss between old and new thinking.
A few hours later I have lunch with Annu N who is the CEO for a startup incubator with 180 persons in different companies.
She says that even if the new companies think in a new way, they struggle to make the new way of organising work.
Sounds like Tuff could make a contribution here. We are here to give our seminar “Stop motivating your co-workers” a second time and are pleased to meet a lot of great response here in Finland.
