About Karin
Karin Tenelius is a Swedish leadership trainer, speaker and author, and a co-founder of Tuff Leadership Training.
Her work centres on what happens between people at work: how they listen, make decisions and handle difficult conversations. She helps leaders examine the habits that can get in the way of other people taking responsibility.

Working with self-management
Inspired by Ricardo Semler in the 1990s, Karin began coaching small Swedish organisations towards self-management. In 1999, she and CEO Annika Tell began an experiment at Freys Hotel, exploring how employees could take a greater role in running the business.
Tuff was founded in 2003. Its work brings that experience into practical leadership training, with attention to how people relate to one another as well as how an organisation is structured.
Coaching and writing
Karin also developed the coaching method behind Strengthening Dialogue in the mid-1990s. Her handbook Coaching Jobseekers is for people supporting jobseekers, individually or in groups.
With Lisa Gill, she wrote Moose Heads on the Table, drawing on her experience with self-managing organisations in Sweden. The book follows the practical work of changing how decisions are made and how people work together.
